A family legacy of service
A recent visitor to the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center brought a notable family legacy of service. Rob Sterling, an Army Veteran, has family ties to the Navy, with his father and twin brother serving as radiomen in World War II.
They were stationed in various locations, including Midway, and later received healthcare at the medical center after returning to Texas. Rob Sterling followed their example by joining the Army and later working as a police officer, eventually seeking care at the medical center after his retirement, where he reportedly received excellent care.
