A local water treatment plant's mechanical issues have been partly resolved. This has allowed for the restoration of air conditioning in barracks housing approximately 4,000 soldiers. The affected bases are located in Hawaii.

Garrison officials had previously shut off water-cooled systems due to a failure of underground water pumps. This reduced the water supply to several bases, including Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield. Some isolated cases of condensation leaks are still being addressed, but the systems are currently functioning.

Further information on this situation is available from the source.
