Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial slated for October unveiling
A memorial is being built to recognize service members. It will be located in Washington, D. C.
on the National Mall. The memorial honors those who served and died in a military campaign. This campaign occurred thirty-five years ago.
A veteran who served in the campaign has been working on the memorial since 2010. He believes the campaign's success has made it overlooked. Further details about the memorial are available from the National Desert Storm War Memorial Association.
The memorial is set to be unveiled in October.
