Meet the employers setting the standard for veteran hiring in 2026
DAV’s employment program helps veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses navigate the job market with confidence. We know that veterans thrive in the workplace when employers recognize their skills, invest in their growth and value military experience.
Every year at the DAV & Auxiliary National Convention, we recognize three companies for their workplace programs and practices that benefit the military community. This year, we were proud to award Cambridge International Systems, ENSCO Inc. and Sonepar USA as our 2026 DAV Patriot Employer Award winners.
While these companies range in organizational size and industry, each demonstrate excellence in military-friendly hiring practices and workplace support.
DAV’s Patriot Employer Award winners:
Recruit veterans and military spouses intentionally;
Create opportunities for career growth and advancement;
Build workplace communities through mentorship and employee resource groups; and
Recognize military experience as a valuable workforce asset.
These organizations are dedicated to the success of veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses in their workplace and beyond.

Cambridge supports veteran employees through leadership development, tuition assistance, mentorship and transition programs. Its Cambridge Stars Employee Resource Group provides connection, resources and support for veterans and military families, while community initiatives extend the company’s commitment beyond the workplace.
DAV’s 2026 Midsize Patriot Employer of the Year: ENSCO, Inc.
ENSCO recognizes military experience as a valuable asset and has created a workplace where veterans can translate their skills into civilian careers. Veterans make up approximately 14% of its workforce and nearly 25% of recent hires.
The company supports veterans through professional development, tuition reimbursement, leadership training, mentorship and military differential pay for employees who continue their service. ENSCO also prioritizes accessibility through a centralized accommodations program that helps veterans and employees with disabilities receive timely workplace support.
