Soldiers can now buy beer and hard seltzer at Fort Hood’s dining hall
At Fort Hood in Texas, a new dining hall is offering beer and hard seltzer for sale. This is the first Army dining hall to provide alcohol. The dining hall, called 42 Bistro, is run by a private contractor and is open to eligible patrons.
The bistro is modeled after college cafeterias and provides another dining option for soldiers. Alcohol is available for purchase at certain times, and only to those of legal drinking age. Further details about the 42 Bistro and its operations are available from Army officials and the base's social media posts.
