Ukraine’s JEDI drone hunts Shaheds so your Patriot missiles don’t have to
A new drone system has been authorized for operational use in Ukraine. The JEDI Shahed Hunter is a small, vertical-takeoff quadcopter designed to intercept incoming threats. It carries a 500-gram explosive payload and can reach speeds over 350 kilometers per hour.
The JEDI system uses radar data and cameras to lock onto its target. Once launched, the crew has a limited time to find and engage the target before the drone's battery life expires.
