Navy Federal Covers Free Reply Postage This Veteran’s Day

Some thank-yous come in the mail. This one comes with the reply.

This Veterans Day, Navy Federal Credit Union is covering reply postage on eligible Sandboxx letters from November 1 until 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13. Here’s what’s included and how to make the most of it before the offer ends.

Why Is Navy Federal Providing Free Reply Postage?

Veterans know what a letter from home is worth. For many, mail was the thread that connected them to the people who loved them while they served.

Navy Federal wants to honor that service in a way that reaches the military community directly. Covering reply postage does exactly that. It helps today’s service members and recruits stay in touch with the families and friends supporting them, the same way generations of veterans did before them.

What’s Included (and What Isn’t)

Free reply postage applies to eligible letter sends only. Here’s how it breaks down.

Send TypeFree Reply Postage?

Letters you’ve purchasedYes

Letters from your Support SquadYes

Free letters earned through referralsNo

Anything other than lettersNo

Free reply postage is added automatically when you send an eligible letter between Sunday, November 1 and before 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13. There’s nothing to select, enter, or turn on. Just write and send your letter like you normally would.

To make sure free reply postage is applied, keep your Sandboxx app up to date.

When the Offer Ends

To get free reply postage, send your eligible letter before 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13. Letters sent after that time won’t include free reply postage.

Eligible letters sent by the deadline will make the final print on Friday, November 13.

Why 4:30 p.m.? That’s when our in-house team prints the last letters of the day and gets them ready to mail. Letters sent after 4:30 p.m. ET on November 13 miss that final print, so free reply postage won’t be added to them.

Watch the Countdown in the App

You don’t need to keep track of the date yourself. A countdown in the Sandboxx app shows how many days you have left to use free reply postage. When it hits zero, the offer ends.

Don’t see the countdown? Make sure you have the latest version of the Sandboxx app. It may not show up on older versions.

Write a Letter

What is free reply postage? Free reply postage lets your recruit mail their letter back to you without a stamp. They don’t have to find somewhere on base to buy stamps, spend their own money, or use stamps they already have. They just write back on the free stationery included in your Sandboxx letter and drop it in the mailbox on base. With no stamp to track down, their letter can reach you that much sooner.

Who is sponsoring this? Navy Federal Credit Union, in honor of veterans and the military community this Veterans Day.

Do Support Squad sends qualify? Yes. Support Squad sends include free reply postage.

Do free letters from referrals qualify? No. Letters earned through referrals aren’t included in this offer.

Does this apply to anything besides letters? No. Free reply postage applies to eligible letter sends only.

When does the offer end? At 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13. Check the countdown in the app to see how much time is left.

I don’t see the countdown in the app. What should I do? Update to the latest version of the Sandboxx app. The countdown may not show up on older versions.

What if I send a letter after the deadline? Letters sent after 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, November 13 won’t include free reply postage.

Do letters I bought before November 1 count? Yes. Any eligible letter sent during the offer gets free reply postage.
