VA reaches milestones in lifesaving naloxone availability
Veterans across the country now have better access to a crucial emergency antidote. The goal is to prevent overdose deaths among this group. A significant number of locations have been equipped with this lifesaving medication, totaling over 6,800 spots.
These areas were identified as high-risk for opioid overdoses. Further information about this initiative is available from the VA, which has made the antidote available at its facilities and counseling centers nationwide.
